Bridge Inspector / Construction Inspector
Qk4, Inc., a highly ranked Engineering and Planning firm, is seeking a Bridge Inspector / Construction Inspector to join our growing structural and construction field services teams in one of our Kentucky offices (Louisville, Frankfort, Radcliff, Owensboro, or Somerset). - Assist in inspection efforts on our bridge inspection and/or construction engineering and inspection contracts with our DOT partners throughout the region.
- Work in a team environment to participate in and develop innovative and cost effective solutions for our clients.
- Requires 6-15+ years of inspection experience on highway bridges and other transportation structures.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Kentucky (preferred).
- Bridge inspection experience (primarily with NBIS routine and fracture critical inspections).
- Excellent communication and soft skills.
- Ability to work well with others, share workloads, and lead other team members. Facilitator of quality work product from the bridge team.
- Dedication to deadlines and superior attention to details.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Senior Transportation Engineer
Qk4, Inc., a highly ranked Engineering and Planning firm, is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer for our Knoxville, TN office. B.S.C.E. degree from an accredited university and PE Certification are required. Ideal candidate will have between 6-10+ years experience working on TDOT roadway design and/or local government roadway design projects. Candidates should also be proficient in MSOffice, have strong verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and the desire to take that next step in career advancement.
- Assist in managing roadway design production for contracts with our DOT partners throughout the region
- Plan, design, and analyze data on transportation design projects (roads, pedestrian trails, sidewalks, etc.)
- Roadway design calculations in accordance with current design standards and Agencies (AASHTO, KYTC, TDOT, INDOT, GDOT)
- Work in a team environment to develop innovative and cost effective designs and solutions for our clients
- Assist with client relations and marketing efforts
- Requires 6-10+ years of engineering design experience on roads and other transportation facilities
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Tennessee (or with the ability to gain licensure within 90-days)
- Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and Geopak
- Excellent communication and soft skills
- Ability to work well with others, share workloads, and lead other team members. Facilitator of quality work product from the roadway design team
