Accounting/Payroll Specialist
As an integral member of our Accounting team, you will contribute by administering bi-weekly payroll, auditing taxes, deductions, completing necessary reporting, and performing various accounting duties.
- Coordinate, produce and audit bi-weekly payroll for 120 + employees in multiple states.
Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions. Performs audits on quarterly basis for annual reporting. - Serves as primary point of contact for payroll operations and questions.
- Works closely with the Accounting Office on specific operations including:
- Payroll Reconciliation
- Benefit Reconciliation and A/P transactions for benefit premiums
- Primary line of communication between Accounting and Human Resources. Work closely with HR staff to develop operational processes to:
- Effectively maintain and communicate updated employee payroll/benefit information.
- Ensure initial (new staff) payroll/benefit/reimbursement information entry in UKG and Deltek.
- Coordinate, Complete, Confirm, Communicate necessary updates in both UKG and Deltek.
- Administer non-payroll occupational tax reporting/filing.
- Perform accounting and administrative tasks that support our business.
- 4 years payroll administration/accounting experience. Bachelorâs degree preferred.
- Preferred proficiency in UKG Ready, Kronos, and/or other payroll/HRIS systems.
- Exceptional time management, organizational and quality control skills that ensure efficient and accurate delivery of work products.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to manage confidential information with discretion and sensitivity.
