JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in managing bridge design and inspection contracts with our DOT partners throughout the region.
Plan, design, and analyze data on civil engineering structural projects (bridges, retaining walls, drainage structures, pedestrian structures, etc.). Focus will be on transportation structures and not vertical building structures.
Structural design calculations in accordance with current design standards and Agencies (AASHTO, KYTC, TDOT, INDOT, GDOT)
Structural analysis of new, existing, and rehabilitation structures (bridges and other transportation structures)
Work in a team environment to develop innovative and cost effective designs and solutions for our clients.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Requires 6-15+ years of structural engineering experience on bridges and other transportation structures.
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Kentucky (or with the ability to gain licensure within 90-days).
Bridge inspection experience (primarily with NBIS routine inspections).
Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation.
Excellent communication and soft skills.
Ability to work well with others, share workloads, and lead other team members. Facilitator of quality work product from the bridge team.
Dedication to deadlines and superior attention to details.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
