Land Survey Field Technician

Overnight travel is often required, offering the opportunity to see new places and contribute to projects across Kentucky and beyond.

Key Job Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, operate, inspect surveying equipment, including electronic total station, data collector to measure distances, elevations, angles, and other data for collection purposes.
Process data from manual or electronic field books.
Retrace or survey boundary lines under supervision.
Perform calculations for construction stakeout for review.
Research existing documents including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents.
Maintain field data record.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to read and understand various types of documents and operate instruments to provide accurate information.
Work environment is outdoors and potentially rough terrain, and requires ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walk, sit and stand while operating survey equipment.
