Transportation Engineer
Native American Services: Lexington, KY
As a professional engineer, assists in managing roadway design production for projects within Native American Services.
- Design a variety of roadway project types including but not limited to roadways, bridges, sidewalks, trails, roundabouts and intersection improvements.
- Collaborate with project team members, client representatives and agencies to resolve project complexities.
- Perform roadway design calculations in accordance with current design standards and agencies.
- Supervise the work of project team members including less experienced engineers, technical support staff.
- Prepare and review reports, maps, and drawings to plan and design projects.
- Foster marketing efforts and cultivate client relationships.
- Maintain client contact, communications and attend client meetings.
- Conduct project site visits as needed.
- Bachelorâs degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Kentucky.
- Additional Professional Engineer (PE) registrations desired.
- 6-10+ years of engineering design experience on roads and other transportation facilities.
- Previous work with Native American communities/projects preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be detail oriented, with proven ability to manage time and meet project deadlines.
- Technical aptitude: Proficient in Bentley MicroStation, other engineering software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
